Tyre diameters

I was looking to go to some 13 inch wheels from my 15s but I am worried about ground clearance

 

I run 195, 55, 15 A539 tyres and would want to run 185 60 13 032R and may be 205 60 13 on the rear but looking at the figures on G Polleys site I will loose 30mm of diameter or 15 mm ground clearance

 

Can anyone confirm the diameters

run on 70 profile tyres... they're cheaper as well.

 

less than a month ago i worked out all the relevant diameters for soebody and explained how to work them out from the tyre sixe. have a search for it...

I think it was me that you done the maths for, and thankyou by the way 😬 would possibly thow a little hot potato on the cost thing tho - my current albeit soon to be replaced with 13's tyres are Yoko AVS and they are only 50 notes a corner, am prepared to be shot down but I guess this compares quite favourably with 13's 🤔 ❗

 

Having said that I will still be changing and in brief, 185/60 R13's give you everso slightly less diamter that 15's with 195/50's and 185/70 R13'3 give you a tad more - FWIW current thinking is that's the way I'm headed

70 profile Yokos are about 40 quid. So still handily cheaper.

 

And here's the rub...

 

In grip terms you're still paying more for a Nissan Micra than you would for a Ferrari...so even if the 15" tyres were half the price they still wouldn't be worth it. If you see what I mean.

for road, keep the 195/50 15 Yoko A539

much safer in bad condition than 032

 

021 is very good but as it will be worn very quickly

A539 is the best choice for normal fortuned owners

 

 

Ground clearance could be a problem if you have no adjustable dampers

 

185/60 13 allround is better than 205 at the rear

It could be nicer and need 200 HP +
