andy couchman
Right, haven't got all the details yet, but looks like I will be changing from a Lucas 3 wire alternator on the crossflow to the type used on Ford Duratecs. From what I have seen, they only have two wires. So anyone know how to wire this? Ta. Andy
Mick Day
Big connector goes via suitably thick wire to +ve on battery. Small connector goes to ignition light.
Paul Formston
Hi Andy the two thick wires on the crossflow go to the battary connector on the starter so if you change to a two wire alternator just jion the two thick wires together with A round terminal connector Regards Paul North Wales Sports Cars caring for Caterhams in North Wales.
