I would prefer to compete in Class 4 without tax and insurance (an MOT could still "prove" road legality), however this doesn't appear to be an option.

I could enter Class 6 without any further expense, (I already have an MSA log book), and run the car exactly as it is, comparing the times against who ever I choose.

Spending the sort of money Stuart has itemised for no good reason doesn't make a lot of sense to me, (although being an old git my insurance is somewhat cheaper than his).

Congrats to Alan by the way on winning class 1, shame about the rain before the last run (I think Mike overheard my thoughts on that!) Alan and I had just been psyching ourselves up for a new class record

 

Also, well done to Dan, only his third event I think and improved dramatically during the day, look forward to seeing you next season
