robmar
after 11 rounds Overall Championship Currently 3 competitors on 700 points for 7 wins: Andrew Willoughby, Matthew Jenkins and Richard Price. Andrew is leading on the countback to the 8th best score at the minute. Assuming at least one of these 3 gets an 8th win the only other competitors that could challenge for the overall championship are Chris Howard-Harris, Simon Rogers or Mike Sankey Ladies Championship It looks a 2 horse race between Lynn Gilbert (474.56) and Suzanne Gibson(472.09). In Suzanne’s favour is that she has some lower scores to drop, however one good score good change things. Novice Championship Tom Price really looks to have this wrapped up already with some very strong drives in his first year, with David Dowson (478.48) and Chris Bramall (463.70) both posting impressive scores in 2nd and 3rd. Class 1 Andrew Willoughby is the class 1 champion for 2010 as even if Alistair Gibbins wins all the remaining races Andrew would still win on a better 8th score. Class 2 Matthew Jenkins is the class 2 champion for 2010, to add to his 2 previous class 1 championships in 2006 and 2007. 2nd and 3rd place looks a 3 way fight between Graham Howard (687.25), Robert Spencer (685.60) and Alan Bowler (589. 45 from 6 events) Class 3 Richard Price is the class 3 champion for 2010, to add to his 2 previous class 2 championships in 2006 and 2009. There is a 4 way battle for the runners up positions between Michael Calvert (696.22), Jeff Smith (694.70), Mark Gibson (692.75) and Matthew Willoughby (692.08) Class 4 This is still a battle between Chris Howard-Harris (699.94) and Mike Sankey (697.81) but Mike really needs all 4 remaining events. Paul Forster (686.11) looks to have secured 3rd place but Stuart Miller (678.93) could still get that spot with a strong finish as he has some low scores to drop. Class 5 In a management lock out Simon Rogers (699.93) is in a very strong position and looking likely to make it a hatrick of class 5 championships, Adrian Williams (697.72) cannot catch him however Mark Durrant (694.38) in theory with 4 wins out of 4 could pip him to the championship. Class 6 Unless Graham Ford turns up to all the remaining events we will have no class 6 champion this year Rob

david nelson
Well done to all the new class winners. Looks as if class 4 will go to the wire while the ex comp sec could beat the new one. I also beleave there will be an official request to exclude some competitors at the awards lunch. So it might not be over till then.

Stuart Miller 7
So............. In an effort to slow Custard down.......... it has been decided that I will jack him up, Paul will take the wheels off and Mike will hide them somehwere.... 😬 😬 No really, well done Chris for another class record last weekend Hope it comes down to day two at Anglesey. I will be trying hard (but not too hard!) to catch Paul up - can't have you old boys winning all the silverware. See you all at Wiscombe.
