Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted August 25, 2010 Area Representative Share Posted August 25, 2010 Anyone removed or removing a heater? I need to separate some parts to plum into the 21 once I get some of the car back. I'll have a look at the Grads site (now that I think about it) Democratic dissent is not disloyalty, it is a positive civic duty.
Drumster
GJT, I'm guessing not, but would the old flat re-circulating heater from my x/flow be of any use? Chris Alston C7CAT 1800 Supersprint R248 ....and then I jumped in
simonpa
I have a current-model heater with all the bits. Not sure what it's worth. BM me if you are still looking... Cheers - Simon
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted August 26, 2010 Author Area Representative Share Posted August 26, 2010 Hi chaps Chris: the usefulness relates to the size of the heater matrix. I don't want to bore you on the subject of 21s but.... the intake is at the top of the bonnet and the matrix is sealed at the firewall between engine bay and cockpit. The aperture here is exactly the size of a bare heater matrix from a '96 era vehicle. I am just trying to find my notes on the size . The fan is mounted separately. Simon: Ceratainly interested. I presume it is one of these? I'll be perfectly honest from the begining: I was wondering if I could fit this kit into the box under the dash. Big difference in costs, even allowing for some fabrication. Democratic dissent is not disloyalty, it is a positive civic duty.
