TonyC
I am planning to upgrade my 1400ss over the winter, my question is not what to do but where to source a 1600 or 1800 engine, any inputs or prior experience appreciated Tony
scooby dooby doo
I may have a 1600SS for sale (minus ancillaries and ECU) over the winter. looks like you'll have all the ancillaries from your 1400.... so you just need an Emerald ECU and (depending on exhaust) 135+ bhp at 7600 rpm is yours... drop me a mail at dmch2@lineone.net for more info. murph7355
Without wishing to bugger Hoops up, I may also have a K engine for sale over winter... 193+bhp, dry sumped, programmable ECU etc etc....possibly attached to a 6spd box and certainly with all the gubbins to make it go. andy@c7consulting.com
scooby dooby doo
i don't wish to be buggered up either ❗ Tony - if you want a ready to go 190 bhp machine Andy may be best. if you want a 1600 KSS with the option of bits from me to make it faster over time then go with me.... but you don't want Andy's engine. its contaminated. its been in a yellow car ❗ *smile* *smile* *smile* HOOPY CYCLE WINGS CUCUMBER
TonyC
Hi The upgrade over time route I can justify (£), a big jump to 190+ is difficult for me. Thanks for the info etc, Hoopy you have mail. Rgds Tony
CHRIS CLARK
But can you really not want that 193 BHP all at once? Too hard to resist? Cheers, Chris.......From 1400 SS---133BHP to 1800 (CPC'd)--- 202BHP. PS. My ex wife used to live in Hartfield!!! Clamshell Club Founder Member. Alex Wong1697456877
193BHP? Andy, I feel better now!!
murph7355
I thought you knew. That was the last dyno figure with a crap exhaust, so it should be a little more. The tyres were still 21Rs Anyway, I have 230bhp now. And will be on slicks. And if I get my original car sorted in time, who knows 😬
