Nick Pargiter Posted June 23, 2010 Share Posted June 23, 2010 After removing the gear lever turret to make re-fitting the gearbox easier I have now found that I do not have the spring loaded centering on the gearstick. I was told to check that the plastic clip is still in place, which it is. Has anyone else had a similar problem and what was the fix? Nick Pargiter Posted June 23, 2010 Author Share Posted June 23, 2010 Thanks for the info Peter. It turned our to be that the breather assembly had come loose. There is a spring loaded fork on the selector shaft that locates either side of the breather. When the breather becomes loose this fork can move freely causing the problem I had.
