Nifty
I recently broke the headlight flasher switch when I caught it climbing out of the car. As a result I am fitting a spare push button switch instead, to eliminate this problem. This led me to thinking about changing the headlight dip/mainbeam switch and the indicator switch to rotary switches to eliminate the problem frequently experienced on track when you accidently knock the indicators on or headlights up/down whilst sawing at the wheel (I know I shoudln't be ❗ ). Has anyone done this and if so what switches did you use, where did you source them? I just want something simple, preferably black, with a little lug on the circumference so it is easy to turn with the movement of a finger, rather than having to grip a knuled edge to twist, if that makes sense. Dip/mainbeam switch nedds only be a two way, whereas indicator needs to be 3 way with middle position being OFF obviously. I'd welcome your thoughts. Nifty. ======================================== Keep off the straight and narrow 😬
Member Jonathan Kay Posted June 17, 2010 Member Share Posted June 17, 2010 Try http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/category/34 The rotary indicator switch is under "Indicator" rather than "Rotary". and http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/switches/rotary.php Jonathan
