Fishy Dave Posted June 13, 2010 Share Posted June 13, 2010 Not a numpty question, although it's one that I searched for originally Undo nut on the bottom, use joint splitter (what I use) or search other posts for the method involving a whack with a hammer! Don't use a lube to help you take apart or it will make it harder to do up again after adjustment. Also don't use heat or you melt the seals! Suggest you loosen the locknut and spray some PlusGas into the thread where it enters the top wishbone ... do this for a few days beforehand. My nearside one was seized beyond hope ! Looks like the spherical joints wouldn't wedge into the uprights so would come out nice and easily for adjustment - have I got the right end of the stick there?
