Fat Arnie,

How about during *eek* *eek* *eek* *confused* *confused* *confused*

Luckily my wife was in UK on holiday and I was in Anakara (still got woken up and shaken around). The dog was in Istanbul though *cool*.

The next day I drove from Ankara to the ferry port where some of the worst damage had occured (had to go this way as the main motorway flyovers had dropped - similar to the LA quake a few years earlier). Piles of rubble, leaning tower blocks and a lot of desperate people - not a pleasant experience.

The aftershocks went on for months afterwards - anybody who has not felt a quake it is very strange *confused*

He's a cocker spaniel - so probably didn't feel a thing - daft as they are.

He travels the world with us.

Born in Ipswich

Stolen from his mum at an early age and taken to Bedford

Lived with the grandparents in Cardiff for 8 weeks

Bundled on a BA 747 and flown to Delhi

Bundled on a Lufthansa flight to Istanbul (via Frankfurt)

Bundled on an Emirates flight to Dubai

Bundled on an Emirates flight to UK (spent 8 weeks in quarantine)

Bundled on a BA flight to Buenos Aries

Bundled on a car ferry to Montevideo

So at the tender age of 7 he has more airmiles than most of us.

He is currently on a 7 week holiday staying at a local 'estancia' or ranch in english. He is meant to be in kennels but apparently the caretaker of the ranch has taken a liking to him and lets him sleep on the end of his bed *confused* *confused*

I only hope he remembers some of his house training when we get him back.
