Due to my ARB having been cut and welded and very non-SVA compliant I urgently need a set - buy or loan - as the SVA test is Friday. Can anyone help as Caterham are on back-order? Chelspeed Posted August 27, 2002 Share Posted August 27, 2002 Assuming your's is a post er 1993 ish chassis where the arb is not part of the top wishbone, then.... You won't need an arb for SVA, they're checking the safety of the car not whether it handles or not. Leave the bar off (and pad the mounting bits with bits of foam that the SVA man will be sure to think you intend to leave in place for the life of the car - NOT). Trevor Phillips Posted August 27, 2002 Author Share Posted August 27, 2002 Having read Richard Ince's comments last week about foam padding [i have bundles of the stuff at the ready] I thought i should fit the spare bar that I have. I've been busy cutting up small rubber balls and gluing them over the FIA cage tube points and some bits will have to have foam - and just see what their attitude is.
