Wheel Paint

Hi all, this is really sad. I have a set of black centred superlight wheels, if i wanted them silver what would be the best way to change the colour. As i see it, paint them, sell them or could i nitromose the old black paint off to expose the silver underneath.

I''ve just experimented with an old wheel - used Nitromorse to remove old paint (carefully applying because I didn''t remove the tyre) - flatted off with numerous grades of wet & dry - bought a tin of primer and wheel paint from Halfords and the job was respectable.
