Just got the retention reminder through. Im not planning to keep it so if your interested make me an offer - anything above the £50 costs I'll split with the Nuke the Luke fund.

£50 is for the retention I assume. Can you tell me what it costs to get it on the car. I am very interested, depending on the costs involved. Are you proposing an auction? I would like first refusal if you are just waiting on an offer above £50 . If the total cost is not too steep I will give £100

Im not sure of the complete costs to get this registration on your car, but I think it would be along the lines of;

a- £50 paid to the DVLA to extend the retention and nominate (you) to use the reg.

b- a "donation" that Ill split with LRF

c- £80 paid to the DVLA to assign the registration to a car.

d- £20 (Halfords etc) to get some plates printed

 

Ill need to check this with the local DVLA office. Assuming you bought the reg for £100, Id keep £25, give £25 to LRF and also pay costs (a). Costs c/d I''d leave for you to pay direct.

 

The retention notice I received needs to be replied to by 10 sep. So unless I get a better offer by Sunday, then it could be yours at £100.
