Ian D Smith
You lucky lucky man. I was heading up to Syke for a fantastic weekend and was kicking myself why I haven't got a trailer and taken the Caterham. It's years since I was up there and I'd forgotton how good it is for bikes and sporty cars. My concellation was access to a decent BMW motorbike for a couple of hours on Saturday. Syke makes the 6.00am North York Moors look positively conjested, absolutely brilliant. Wife is going away for a long weekend and I think I have a plan 😬 D
john aston
Trailer- and you live in York ? The drive up to Skye is a pleasant day trip in a Seven....But the roads get soooo much better above Ullapool- trust me!
Ian D Smith
But with a crossflow and 4 gears I would be lucky to get 20 mpg and that's before I put oil into the anti rusting system!!! It's a few years since I was North of Inverness/Ullapool but from what I remember the road were a pleasure to drive.
john aston
So.. a good tour of the NW Highalnds is 1000 miles round trip.50 gallons well spent I think you will find. And cheaper than buying a trailer.
