rgrigsby
For those of you with life insurance etc have you told your insurance company that you take part in "Motorsport" activities? I'm just setting something and mentioning motorsport seems to have set of all kinds of alarm bells requiring extra forms and inevitably more expense. You want to reply off the forum 😳 rather than post here. Rob G Edited by - rgrigsby on 21 Apr 2010 17:57:
FlymoFraser
I started sprinting at the same time as taking out some life insurance, told them about the motor sport, had to complete an extra form and I think the rating was increased by a fraction only. The extra risk of death in sprinting is tiny, to a non actuary, it actually feels smaller than driving the 7 on public roads.
david nelson
I think my life insurance does not cover Motorsport David
Andy Green
When I started to learn to fly helicopers I told them and they said they were only interested in dangerous things like horse riding. That was a few years ago now.

Englishmaninwales
Declared it, no issues. Much more concerned about the cave diving, ice climbing..... 😳
rgrigsby
Interesting, I suspect I need to talk to a few different providers to get their reactions. Don't suppose the people that said no difference could let me know who they are with? for reference one of the quotes I've had is from AXA and they've added a £37/month supplement because of my "hazzardous activities" !! that's more than double the premium itself!
