Simon.Rogers1
Hi Guys For all Entrants. I know a few of you are stuck abroad and I truly hope you get back in time. However - lets be realistic and fair to other possible runners and the organising Club. They have a full entry with reserves. If you think you may not make it please post here or email me and I will talk to the organisers. We/they may well be able to put reserve drivers on standby. Competition Sec Management Team Member If in doubt.......Flat out!

Sgt Pepper
oh, it gets better, managed to get on train from Milan to Paris ETA 2320 ha ha ha. Train 30 mins late leaving, then 35 mins into trip have to stop as train on fire, well smoking like a x/flow really, so all off. After much shouting and gesticulating and 30 mins later we're back on the same train going much slower
Sgt Pepper
Next report. Just got going again after another squirt from the fire extinguisher. Train stinks just like when as a kid you used to burn your scalextric cars and handsets out! Sgt Pepper
It gets better. Had to change trains at Modane and train was too long for platform and you've guessed we're on the bit where we had to walk 100m along the track. Now on SNCF to Paris but that has broken down and we're waiting for an engineer...... Representing the Caterham division of the VSCC 😬
Sgt Pepper
Aargh. 0535 local time and we're all still on this sodding train yet to arrive in Paris.... Representing the Caterham division of the VSCC 😬
Sgt Pepper
...finally arrived in Paris at 0615, hopped in taxi across city and we're now on the 0728 to Calais, where my pit bitch AKA Tango Tart will be meeting us to drive us home. What a star! Feeling rather jaded from sleep deprivation together with the fact that we've not managed to get a proper meal since leaving Sardinia on Sunday lunchtime. But at least the end is in sight to our little 'adventure'.. Representing the Caterham division of the VSCC 😬
