GrahamV
Numpty question ..... I think I need to replace the petrol gauge/level sender in the fuel tank .... at the recent Llandow track day I started with just over half a tank and finished with a full tank - either I've solved the world's energy problems or there is something wrong. The new sender and gasket have arrived from Caterham - but where does it fit in the tank? Is it behind the plate on the driver's side of the tank (RH Drive car)? I had a quick look this afternoon and i think there a plate about 4 inchs across held by six screws - it looks like the feed to the fuel pump comes out of there as well? Any advice on this job would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Graham
Stationary M25 Traveller
In the top of the tank I believe ...... remove the boot floor to look.
Mick Day
When you take the old sender out very carefully remember (better still take a photo) which way round it goes. If fitted 180 deg out it will foul a baffle & will read empty, or full, all the time.
Rich N
Yes, top hole. Careful not to over tighten on the way back as well.
