Tony Wright
Sorry heading a bit short but the search facility is not working. Anyway question is, oil recommendation for a Hayabusa engine.  Is it feasible to use a fully synthetic car oil such as Mobil one 😳 🤔
Nigel Fox
It's generally believed that the additives used in car engine oils are not compatible with motorcycle wet clutches. Full time class 4 Zetec

Tony Wright
Thanks guys will have a look around. I'm hoping to order the oil from an American tax free shop so hope I can get the right sort, most of the oils on display are less than half UK prices . Area Representative bluenose Posted April 6, 2010 Area Representative Share Posted April 6, 2010 Tony I use fully synth Castrol Superbike Oil. Do not use car oil as you will get excessive clutch slip. Some people find that the fully synth superbike oil makes their clutch slip but I have found it OK in my engines. Castrol do a semi synth oil as well if you experience a slipping clutch. Nick Lava Orange Caterham Blackbird
charlie_pank
It is extremely important that you don't use car oil in a bike engine. Bike engines share the oil between the engine, the gearbox and the clutch. back here because I want to be.
