I'm not taking part at Curborough (I've never done Sprint before anyway!) and not sure if I can make it this weekend as spectator - if it looks like I'll be free I'll email you. Are you competing? Not cheap though IIRC, but well worth it IMHO. stevefoster Posted August 19, 2002 Share Posted August 19, 2002 Mine was from a bike shop in carbon. I used plastic bolts threading into the carbon instead of the supplied bolts and nylocs. You can tap carbon if it's thick enough. The supplied bolts and nylocs were as heavy as the rest of it (defeats the object) and the nylocs would have punched through the ali if given a whack. Before you ask... It was a present! I also have the JW one but that is heavy by comparison. Steve My racing pics, 7 DIY, race prep.
