VHPD throttle sticking

Have recently run in the vhpd and now have found an interesting problem, after opening the throttle fully it sticks open for a short while. It seems to happen but to a lesser extent at less throttle. It's fairly disconcerting when you go to change gear and the revs hold rather than fall (especially when at the upper end of the rev range).

I tried moving the throttle cable routing as it seemed to have a few fairly acute angles in it but this did not fix the problem.

any suggestions?

This is a known problem with the later type throttles (Phantom type as PTP call them). PTP may be the best people to ask as they source them.

Evo did a track day car test a while back and they stuck open on an Exige. Also I've heard of a 340R getting stuck open throttles on a track day.

Have been having a fiddle around and testing and the revs do actually stay up a bit at any degree of throttle. Will try PTP.

If it is the ecu, will it stop if i fit an emerald one? (something i was going to do in the future anyway).

Thanks.

Sorry to bring back up an old(ish) thread but i think the problem is getting worse.

The cable doesn't seem to be the problem, it returns to closed almost instantly. The throttle is now sticking open almost every time i plant my right foot to even 3/4 of travel.

Any other suggestions on how to diagnose/mend the problem?
