I have listed another item from my garage clear out.

This item is the new style R500 Quick Release Steering Wheel mount, with upper column.

This also includes the connector and wiring loom so that you can add switches to your steering wheel, to control remote devices such as Indicators, as on the R500, or perhaps scroll and select buttons for a Stack Dash etc.

The ebay advert is here:

Hi Phil,

I am sorry I have no idea, as I do not know if it will be the correct size for your year of car.

It is intended for the new R500 cars, IE S3 Variant, Metric Chassis, but I dont know if that dictates the size of the shaft at all??

It looks exactly the same size as my previous car, a K Series R400 2003 year though.

Thanks for looking though.

Guys,

Just a reminder that this along with the other items ends on ebay in a day or so.

Good luck if you are bidding on any of the items.

Re the Type of Quick Release Steering Wheel Mount.

I have had several questions asked re the type of Mount and number of connections.

This is the Lifeline mount, and specifically it is referred to as " Formula Car Electric - 8 Pin " ( even though this unit only has 5 pins and not 8.

The link to the page on the manufacturers website, that shows the details for the 8 Pin version:-

Lifeline Steering Quick Release

There are also pdf documents on this page that give you full technical details.

I hope this info helps answer all the questions.

Mic,

Thanks for pointing that out.

Mic is correct this is the R500 type with only 5 pins, sorry for the confusion.

I could not find any reference to the five pin version on the Lifeline site.
