DuncanM
I think my MFRU has packed up with neither the starter motor nor fuel pump working. There is 12v on both of the brown/white wires going in but nothing on the yellow/green fuel pump feed or brown starter motor trigger. I have performed the standard relay mod for the starter motor which is now working. ECU fuse is fine and there is 12v on pins 1-3 of the input plug. Any ideas? Is this a standard Rover part that can be bought without paying Caterham prices? Thanks Duncan
The Outcast
Having got as far as you have WHY not dump it all together and replace with std relays Weve done that on a few cars now Means if any one gives trouble in future it's easy to sort
jackb_ms
Outcast Do you have a diagram or something similar to to replace MFRU with relays? Cheers Jack Emily, The Very Yellow
The Outcast
No but there's a diagram of the MFRU on Miles's site which makes it very easy to work out
Grubbster
Do you have EU2 or EU3? They are different. I had to by an EU2 one from Caterham recently. I do have the circuit diagram for EU2 so if that would help blat mail me and I'll forward it to you. Solent Se7ens Web!

DubhOg
@Grubbster - were CC able to supply? I have been chasing an EU2 MFRU for long and weary and Darren told me they were unable to source them. This unique rally of human life is not meant to be tackled freewheeling, but in full opposite-lock slide.
Trev G
Millwood directed me to A.E. Wilcox for one. Tel 01454 294213. Had to fork out £85 for it though.
Tony Whitley
Local scrappy? I assume it's a standard Metro / 216 part?
Grubbster
Yes they were able to supply an EU2 one, stock came in recently. Solent Se7ens Web!
Area Representative manningpaul Posted March 22, 2010 Area Representative Share Posted March 22, 2010 Had to replace mine last year (EU2), no stock at CC or any Rover Parts!! Thought that I would give Redline a ring, "no stock but will ring you back" the man said. Half an hour later he rings "we can get one and post it to you" about £45 as far as I can remember and arrived within a couple of days. Now thats what I call service 😬

nigelpugh
Tony, Thanks for the link to my sale item. However mine is the later EU3 item, I am not sure if that will work for the guys who need an EU2 Version. Perhaps someone else can advise if they are backward compatible?
