Jonathan Kay
I've just had the sliding calliper body off my rear brakes for the first time. Factory standard, de Dion, 1.8 K. I'm not sure about the reassembly. I put some LocTite on the 13mm retaining bolts, tightened them as far as possible with the 15mm locking nut loose, then ran the locking nut up towards the bolt head and tightened it. Is that the right way? How tight should they be? Thanks Jonathan
Kevsta
I've never moved the part you are referring to as the locking nut. Just loctite on the bolts. I can't remember the torque setting, not too much as can be seen by the size of the bolt! 25ft lb maybe?
