terryp
Yes I phoned and live in France! Car was stored on a driveway in salty air in Mid Glamorgan. It was on the drive approx 20 to 25 years! Chassis/Suspension/Brakes shot,Tonneau was off and shoved into footwell so the interior will be fairly decayed. Body OK? Engine,Gearbox could be OK???? I'd love to know how much someone would pay.....probably more than me! Terry Lotus Elan +2 S130/4 Hopefully Seven Soon! wizzo
I suspect that it's worth about the same as my 1980 Caterham. That was given to me f.o.c last year as a trailer load of bits. The only snag was that I had to collect it from Milan which cost about a grand. It needs a new chassis and a total rebuild and I am just starting to collect everything I need. Wizzo. Elan Sprint, 911 Carrera 3 and a big old Merc.
terryp
I think you are right, for a rebuild you may be talking £10K in parts and a total labour of love but suspect the value will come from the V5 for someone to add to another car which has a lost memory....... Irrelevant
I suspect that it's worth about the same as my 1980 Caterham. That was given to me f.o.c last year as a trailer load of bits That's about what I would value it at. True, it could be rebuilt but to be done by the book would need a new chassis to retain it's reg number.

terryp
Don't be sad, I offered him £0 and would have rebuilt it! But I think he may get more for other uses........... Terry Lotus Elan +2 S130/4 Hopefully Seven Soon!
