Julian Thompson
I need a little carbon fibre sheet, big enough to mount a MEMS ECU on to. Can anyone help with this or recommend a place I can buy carbon sheet from in a small qty? Demon Tweeks sheet is only max 0.69mm thick and I was thinking more like 1.5mm? Julian Thompson
Mick That's really kind of you. I've actually managed to sort it I think; Kenny let me know about a specialist in Southport that sells carbon weave by the sheet at reasonable money then a pal appeared clutching a motorcycle carbon numberplate! 9 inches x 7 inches; perfect! Anyway; thanks very much for the offer - do you make carbon things or do you just happen to have a surplus of it?
scooby dooby doo
I may be interest in a sheet of around 9 by 7 inches as well... where from? HOOPY CYCLE WINGS CUCUMBER
mhc
I do make carbon products ,mainly as a hobby. Mick MHC
Peter Carmichael
Mick has quite a portfolio of carbon work, *as a hobby*. Graeme Finlayson's Westfield springs to mind as do my inlet trumpets and filter backplate. Top bloke. Julian Thompson
It's really useful to know Mick is the man for C/F! Anyway, try M&P motorcycles for the 9 x 7 "numberplate" in carbon for £15 !
scooby dooby doo
do M&P have a website or phone number 🤔 or is this a very standard thing for motorbikes that should be available anywhere 🤔 HOOPY CYCLE WINGS CUCUMBER
Blatman
And while we're on the subject of Micks carbon fibre, lets not forget every interior panel (with the exception of the tunnel top, and floor, although a floor may well be available.......), boot cover, scuttle base, and rear diffuser on my car..........in fact, enough carbon to keep an R500 owner happy for years 😬 There are even carbon covers for the chassis rails you can see in front of the seats Thanks Mick *thumbup*
New Barbie
Blatman It's still a Westfield though Tonight I helped fit a carbon fibre fuel pump bracket to a certain Caterham which has even more carbon fibre than you I'd suspect - now that is obsessive.
