Boot cover

As a follow on from this thread here what type of boot cover do I need for a 94 car with a SLR cage without hoodsticks? The rear supports on the cage pass through the cover further forward than on the late type FIA roll over bar currently fitted.

I'd speak to Oxted Trimming if I were you. They have patterns for many permutations of cover / cage / bar / with or without hoodsticks. Or they can custom fit to your car.

 

Whilst you are at it, you might like to consider a lightweight cover. I first went to Oxted for a custom made lightweight tonneau. (My own interpretation of a SBFS item but in slightly tougher material) I was so pleased with what Oxted produced I asked them to make a boot cover in the same material. This was to the Superlight with Caged trackday bar pattern. Fitted like a glove. The material is a nylon fabric with a backing impregnation/layer. Totally waterproof, easy to clean, lightweight, looks very neat. Bye-bye to stiff, heavy, dirt trapping grained finish, bulky to store standard covers. Has proved very durable too, as good now as when new two years ago. The bound edge trimming is true craftsmanship and a joy to behold 🥰

Simon and I bought ours from Jill Judd based on a template she made for Mark Durrant.

 

Sell the old one on BC and buy new, the nett cost is pretty small in the overall scheme of things.

Thanks, I knew I needed a new one I was just enquiring if the was an easy off the shelf purchase eg from R500/SLR that will fit.

But it looks like a bespoke cover fom Oxted or Jill Judd.
