NickB7 Posted August 14, 2002 Share Posted August 14, 2002 Is it OK to use one of the pedal box screws (that go through the aluminium plate and into the chassis) as an earthing point? Graham Sewell Posted August 14, 2002 Share Posted August 14, 2002 I use the pedal box as an earth point for my rev limiter. It is all part of the chassis and electrically at the same potential difference. Electricity will take the line of least resistance, so if are seriously panicked by the idea of a small quantity of corrosion based on electrolyis, use one of the screws that hold the brake pipes as they have insulating p-clips - and if you apply a layer of paint around the hole in the ali, then the least resistance will be the screw itself.
