Atinod
I have not read all your posts Rob [i don't have a CSR 😬], but what a good idea and format all your posts are
jingars
How about adding them to the 7 FAQ site? Having suggested that, the contributions page looks decidedly strange to me......
Grubbster
Great stuff - can you make linkys to them all on the first post on this thread? Soon they will all fall off the first screen as they are locked, but having them all linked to one thread would be very helpful. Solent Se7ens Web! RD
Grubbster, thanks for the suggestion. I have edited the start of this thread in post order. I did contact the L7C on this, asked that they should run a series of maintenence articles in the LF magazine as ref. See you around the south coast ! Chris Cardwell
Hi Rob Its a great idea - if you added a comment after each link summarising the topic it could quickly become a wiki. Other contributors could be added HPC7 . . . Cosworth engineering back in fashion
RD
Chris, thanks for the comments; start thread has been changed to show description of each link. Rob

Gingerbread Man
How much do these differ from Caterhams standard non CSR 7's?
RD
GM, the CSR differs in several ways compared to the SV, classic etc. This was my reason for writing the posts. For example: Jacking points and axle stand positions for series 3, are specified in the owners handbook. Wet sump engines have a conventional single drain plug, no swirl tower. Differential is the same approach. Gearbox, similar but some earlier models may not have a drain plug. Spark plugs for non-duratec would be simple HT leads. The CSR does not have de-dion tube and outboard front suspension. Hope this helps Rob
Gingerbread Man
Thanks RD. I've been thinking of checking my diff and gearbox oil levels recently. Just need to find some time to do it.
S7LFO
Excellent stuff Rob, currently got the diff and propshaft out of my CSR, started out as a 5 minute job to look into the source of a disturbing clonking noise. Had assumed it was from the propshaft UJ's but they seem to be ok. Anyway, your info is excellent, trying to find any maintenance info on the CSR is very difficult. Built an SV a while ago, but there are many differences between the two as you point out. Thanks for putting this together. Matt
RD
Matt, glad to have helped with this. I agree that finding CSR info is not easy and the handbook is of little use on servicing. There are many more examples of how BC could be used in this way. Rob
RD
Now that the winter is here, you may be thinking of tinkering/Servicing the Seven. To supplement the LowFlying GTKY7 articles, these were the threads that started it all off. Enjoy... Rob
