Stationary M25 Traveller
Most certainly. Same if you ever top up a liquid-filled battery ....... always charge afterwards, or it may disappoint you when next needed !
Roger Ford
In theory they're usually "dry charged", but it won't be charged to full capacity so the advice is always to charge before use where possible.

Nigel Fox
When you fill a new battery with acid is doesn't need charging, it will work straight away.
Phil
I am with Nigel on this one, selling batteries for years, used to supply Hella Batteries, we had to fill them ready for selling, sat on the shelf for weeks, never had any problems or need to charge them. Just remember to sand the terminals before fitting. FreeRange7 http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2404840560089816983khvSRw
