gee_fin
Well, we're up to 22 sets now, knocking on the door of the 10%. I've posted to the Se7en's list to see if there are any further takers. I'll send the email out on Wednesday after ringing for last orders on Tuesday evening! Cheers, Graeme. ________________________________________________________ graeme finlayson / tyre warmer / fluke motorsport gee_fin@hotmail.com / www.fluke-motorsport.co.uk
gee_fin
Email sent to all who contacted or expressed an interest. Ken (Gibson) your email bounced, can you email me to confirm I've got the correct address? Cheers. Quick response requested on the email as I'd like to get the order in asap before the sets are gone! Best Regards, Graeme. ________________________________________________________ graeme finlayson / tyre warmer / fluke motorsport gee_fin@hotmail.com / www.fluke-motorsport.co.uk
murph7355
Posting with a suggestion I just made to Graeme... Assuming no one else wants to join in, would anyone else on his mail be prepared to buy two sets? I'm kind of using female rationale here, but if you were to buy a second set of, say, RS14s front and rear, they'd only cost you 165GBP (10% off two sets of pads gives circa 40GBP off) . I'm assuming they don't have a shelf life as such, and that they'll wear out with a bit of hammer so 2nds will be needed at some point. If we have 22, and with the possibility of me getting a 2nd set for front and rear I suspect we might only need another one set ordering? And then everyone gets a further 10% off... gee_fin
Well, at the moment I have only received payment from one person so the 25 sets is looking unlikely! LOL If we make the 25 sets I'll transfer the balance back. Orders close on Wednesday. Feel free to ring/email for any info. Greg, got the confirmation email, did you get mine? gee_fin
Cheers, spoken and sorted. ===================== IMPORTANT ===================== Regarding the _new_ Caterham range of AP upgrade fronts - "Unfortunately this pad is not yet in the PAGID range, I believe this pad is in preparation, but we don't produce it yet." So, if anyone has the new AP fronts on order please contact me ASAP (01753-660-519/07747-60-60-66) as they _will not_ fit. Cheers, Graeme. ________________________________________________________ graeme finlayson / tyre warmer / fluke motorsport gee_fin@hotmail.com / www.fluke-motorsport.co.uk

murph7355
How do you tell? The ones I'll be fitting the pads to were fitted to a new car 2 months ago... Is there some discernible difference? Am in meetings today so will need to converse this way, will call tomorrow morning assuming we have some clarification... andy@c7consulting.com
gee_fin
Have a nose at Rob's site, he has the new Caterham fronts. If they match yours, then Pagid don't currently have a pad for them ☹️ www.speedyseven.com/index.html?APFrontBrakes.htm Graeme.
murph7355
Sorry Graeme but it looks like I have the 2002 calipers. The pre-02 ones look smooth down their length where the Caterham text is. The 02 ones have some definition where the pistons go a la Rob's pictures. Looking at it this would look to save weight - visually there would seem to be no other reason for it... So I'll have to pull out of the deal ☹️ Will mail you. Andy andy@c7consulting.com
clarkey
If you need to remove the top caliper bolt to change the pads then you have the new pad shape. if the wing stays don't get in the way, you have the old ones.....
gee_fin
Important I'm placing the order for the pads at lunchtime tomorrow (as a few people are waiting on the brakes ). So far I have only received confirmation/payment from three people! I will endeavour to contact everyone (who I haven't already) but could you please ring me on 01753-660-510 (daytime) or 07747-60-60-66 (evenings) if I haven't personally confirmed reception of your payment. I would need to confirm that it is in the post/system so that you don't miss your order (bear in mind electronic transfer can take three days) and I don't end up with £2,000 worth of pads I can't use! Cheers, Graeme. ________________________________________________________ graeme finlayson / tyre warmer / fluke motorsport gee_fin@hotmail.com / www.fluke-motorsport.co.uk Edited by - gee_fin on 29 Aug 2002 17:20:
