We hope you have a great season with us in 2010. Want to be a Race Marshal? Ever wanted to be that little bit closer to the racing, be part of a friendly enthusiastic team? Maybe you should consider being a Race Marshal. The British Motor Racing Marshals Club, has regions across the country and there is likely to be one based at your favourite Motor Sport venue. Training sessions are already underway for novice and experienced Marshals to prepare themselves for the 2010. The Marshals club will be at Race Retro Stoneleigh March 12th - 14th. HSCC Race Calendar Finalised Following a winter of top level discussion the HSCC is pleased to announce their race calendar is now finalised. Club Chairman Chris Sharples said 'This I believe is our best ever programme of races.' Starting in March at Silverstone, the key note events for the year are May 15th/16th the Silverstone International Trophy, June 5th/6th Snetterton 'Autosport 3 Hour' Race Meeting, 3rd/4th July Brands Hatch Super Prix with rounds of the FIA Historic Formula One Championship and the FIA Lurani Trophy for Formula Junior cars, July 23rd - 25th The Silverstone Classic August 29th/30th Oulton Park Gold Cup, November 6th/7th The Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone. There will also be two opportunities for HSCC members to race at prestige European race meetings. 24th - 26th September Spa 6 Hour Race meeting, where the HSCC open wheel groups have two races over the weekend, 1st - 3rd October Dijon En Prenois HSCC closed wheel groups will have two races as part of the Trophees De Bourgogne. Brands Hatch Super Prix 3rd - 4th July

The event will be celebrating 50 years of the Grand Loop, helping in the celebrations will be some of the drivers who took part in the original Silver City Trophy Race Meeting in August 1960. Whilst the cars competing in the two races for the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association will help recreate the 1960's era.

 

Topping the programme of races for more recent cars will be a round of the FIA Historic Formula One Championship, featuring, the Brabham, Lotus, and Tyrrell chassis of the Cosworth era of Grand Prix motor racing this will be accompanied by two races for the FIA Lurani Trophy for Historic Formula Junior cars. Maintaining the International flavour there will also be two races for the Historic Formula 2 Championship. All the HSCC Championships will be contested over the weekend, with races for 70s Road Sports, Classic Formula 3, The Guards Trophy GT & Sports racing cars, Historic Formula Ford, Historic Formula 5000 and F2, Historic Road Sports and Historic Touring Cars. The Classic Racing Car Championship will again feature an invited class for One Litre Formula 3 Cars contesting the Peter Hanson Trophy. Another big entry of these fabulous 'Screamer' cars is expected from across Europe.
