Dave B
Is it possible to have the trailing arm welded back onto the roll bar. It has snapped off and getting a replacement roll bar to Gran Canaria will be expensive. It is off the car at the moment so as to prevent any further damage. Cheers Dave B
Stationary M25 Traveller
Did the original weld fail, or the steel itself ? Don't see a problem in re-welding as long as it is done properly (as of course it would be)
I.Mupferit
Gary May at Freestyle always recommends taking the rear ARB off completely unless you are doing serious racing or sprinting. He says for road use it is completely pointless. Edited by - Brent Chiswick on 1 Feb 2010 13:05:
richard bradbury
After the 3rd one broke I decided not to bother fitting another rear arb. I have also heard many say that for road use (mine doesn't do track days) you are better off without. I can't detect much difference, maybe a bit more understeer, but I am no Fangio. On the plus side it gets rid of a few pounds of unwanted weight. bradders
