Torque setting please...

I was sent the following as a general guide: -

Torque settings

¼ UNF/UNC or M6 3-5 lb/ft

(7/16 AF or 10mm spanner)

 

5/16 UNF/UNC or M8 12-15 lb/ft

(1/2 or 13mm spanner)

 

3/8 UNF/UNC or M10 20-25 lb/ft

(9/16 or 17mm spanner)

 

7/16 UNF 30-35 lb/ft

(5/8 or 11/16 spanner)

 

½ UNF or M12 40-45 lb/ft

(3/4 or 19mm spanner)


 

Always in combination with loctite or nylock nuts.

The stub axle nut which also holds the wing stay in place is 60 - 65 lbft. Steering arm to upright is 22 - 27 lbft. All these figures should be in the build manual which is available for download on-line somewhere. If you can't find it blatmail me your email address mand I'll send you a pdf copy.
