excess baggage
Diagnosis of French person relayed via RAC was 'The moteur she is blow up'! Although I think I resent my 'moteur' being referred to in the female gender I need to stop it from being blow up any more. So for a 155 brake x flow on 21r tyres, probably 032r next year, what do I need to get rid of the starvation that upset her recently? The choice is obviously anti-cav or dry sump with or without oil cooler. I would expect to do 6 track days a year including Le Sept. I have no idea what it is going to cost to repair the damage already inflicted as I don't even know where the car is at present but I don't want to have to afford it twice. I know that a dry sump would get rid of all concerns, but it would also get rid of all my money. But if that is the only way to go........ murph7355
Dry sump it EB. I'm not sure XFs suffer as badly as Ks etc with aerated oil, and the dry sump route is the only way to be properly safe...

tgracing
Other than baffling (short term), Dry Sump is the way to go. In the meantime you can overfill a bit, but it will 'slosh' (I think that's the correct technical term). Davebo C7 CAR
Asklepios
Davebo, Thought overfilling was a no no ,on a/c of crank hitting sump contents and aereating the oil ,not to mention consuming power whilst so doing.
