servicing - how often

Many Caterhams do low miles, mine included.

In my case, nearly all of these miles are on the road. It is a 1.6 SS (k-series)

 

So how often should I get the car serviced?

The last service was 12 months and 3,500 miles ago and everything is still running fine.

It doesn't feel like it needs a service.

Would an oil change suffice (which i could do myself) or are there other things to worry about (such as why I don't drive the car more !).

 

I will certainly get the car properly serviced after a few more miles but I don't want to waste money if I can avoid it. Views?

Richard,

You should get an owners' manual (gives you all the service tasks and frequencies) and do it all yourself.

Everything is easy.

For some reason, I have a couple of owners manuals spare (brand new not written in)

 

I can also scan the relevant pages and post to someone.

 

Let me know. I could be persuaded to post a new manual to someone in exchange for a NTL donation.

Check the Caterham Service Schedule here. The 3000 is designed for those who want an annual sevice / cover less than 6000 mile per annum.

Original reads 50000 not 500. bug in web publishing / excel, that I have not had time to fix yet.
