Team Escargot
Currently on 15's with 195/45 CR500's all round. But what’s the best set-up for an SV (R300) in class 4? Front:- 13 x 6 with 175 or 185 - 55's (with about 3.5 deg negative) Rear:- 13 x 8 with 205 x 55’s (is so any spare 8’s floating about?) Any advice welcome Nick
Simon.Rogers1
I'd suggest its the same as an S3. 13" rims all round and then its down to your budget and choice of tyre. Optimum will be 215 Kumho all round on 7.5" inch front rims and 8 or 8.5" rears but you will need to go for a split rim on the front to get the offsets correct and also probably change the front wings. So I'm guessing that 175 fronts on 6.5 x 13 " front rims and 8" rears with 215's on them will be your best bet. Simon ps I know of a Club member selling a set of Caterham 8 spoke alloys with soft Kumho's on ready to go. They tyres are worn but still have plenty of sprint life in them. (At least most of the season, although they may not be road legal ) Management Team Member If in doubt.......Flat out!
