Mankee
It turns out that I've been trying to use the M3D software from the Emerald website instead of the K3 software, which is not available on the website! The previous owner of the car didn't give me the software disc, but a call to Leoni at Emerald put me right and I managed to get connected using a pal's serial to USB adapter, so the two convertors that I spent loads of money need new homes. ☹️ The first is a Bafo BF-816 2-port serial to USB adapter that I got from Maplin. I only paid £14.99 instead of the current price of £24.99. Comes with drivers disc and the package is opened but of course, but I haven't actually managed to use it! Picture of it here. The second is a PCMCIA card with a serial port on it. I paid £11.99 from eBay a week ago. Again, comes with drivers disc and is basically unused. Picture here. If anyone will make use of these adapters to get connected to their ECUs, please let me know and you can have them for a generous donation to NtL. Mankee
Nobody want these so that they can fiddle with their ECU over the Christmas and winter period?
Roger Ford
Is the Maplin one still available? I have a friend who could use it.
Mankee
Hi Roger. Yes, I still have both adapters available, which I'm quite surprised by, but that's life! Drop me a BlatMail and we can take it from there. Cheers. Edited by - Mankee on 8 Jan 2010 17:28:
