mattobrien
Have been looking at getting a new lighter battery for my k-series R500 I have found a few contenders but wanted to ask for recommendations before taking the plunge. The current options are; Varley Redtop 15 Oddessy Extreme 18 Powervamp PRV 20 Any experiences / recommendations would be very welcome. Thanks Matt
Grubbster
I've got a Powervamp, (PVR25 I think) very happy with it, much better cranking than with the Banner. Need to keep it on a trickle charge if you have an immobiliser though (or any other small load).
Adrian Williams
I use a Powervamp PVR25 with their PVR25BCT bracket on my R5. Works a treat. Adrian
millsn
Oddessy extreme is a powervamp. Pretty sure it's what I have although they have changed the name since I bought mine. I can't say why but my recollection is of excellent service from powervamp and no probs I cna recall with the battery to date (couple of years). I'd buy another. (2nd hand, pretty sure it's in good nick, kept it charged with their charger.. bought it as i thought I'd killed it, turned out that i had a break in my power loom near the alternator). Team Escargot
Have used a red top for last 2 years in my R300 with no problems - although the 25 maybe more suitable that the 15 if any night driving is envisaged Nick
Irish
Same issue for me with a 96 X-flow. Are there better suited batteries?

TobyCoulson
They do look rather nice I must admit. Are they stocked in this country? Couldn't find it on their website.

myothercarsa2cv
No idea Toby, but my auntie and uncle could easily forward on or bring over next time they visit if you wanted 😬 John _________________________ myothercarsa2cv Bugsy: '82 2cv6 😬 Talloulah '08 1.6K Classic
