The Pikey
It's the older type that bolts to the dash corner triangles and had no gusset in front tubes. It's the straight tube type and not the sexy curved tube one. Has not been fitted since being powdercoated in satin black so looks very good. A genuine bargain at £100 NOW £75 Collected from banbury 9-5 weekdays or 11-4 weekends. Petrolhead
Cheers Paul I think this will be the Roadsport Cage. Does it look like this 1) here or this 2) here If the second then its just what I need ----- My site-----
darren f
Self-appointed cage expert here (not that I've been doing much research lately ........... (1) Is the latest Roadsport cage 'curvy hoop'- fits under the std hood . It also has the latest side impact protention bar. (2) Is a Superlight R cage- does not fit under the hood I think Jason has an old straight bar Roadsport cage (by Safety Devices). Petrolhead
Wrong type for me but I assumed that at the price your selling, indeed a bargain ----- My site-----
shn7
Jason, Are you sure its the first one? From your mention that it bolts to the dash ears it sounds like the Safety Devices one. To clarify does yours have the twin cross bars at the back and curved or straight top bars? Steve. Jon Crofts
I've been down this road in the past 6 months, here's what I learnt. If it's the one that bolts to the dash it's the Safety Devices cage for sure. This type would not fit my 2002 S3 chassis as the boss in the dash isn't fitted in this MY. The Safety Devices cage only had a single straight bar in the 'roof'. The Caged version can have either a single bar or hoops is known as the Roadsport cage & fits under a standard hood, It doesn't have the dash ears & bolts to the chassis rails where scuttle & chassis rail meet. I sold the same style Jason is selling 6 months ago as it didn't fit my chassis. R300 Superlight Weapons Grade Fun

Dickie Normuss
Jason, complete hijack, but remember I bumped into you at CJ earlier this year and declared that I wouldn't get one. Frying Pan
Tempting, and only a couple of miles from work! Does this fit under a standard hood? This type would not fit my 2002 S3 chassis as the boss in the dash isn't fitted in this MY.Mine's a 2003 S3 - how do I check whether I have the bosses See some pictures of the build here. 17000 miles completed! Dickie Normuss
You'd have to either take some rivets out to peel back the inside skin or ask Bruce at Arch who might be able to help.
