I agree with Pendennis, and don't want you to waste your money on wheels that you will have trouble with.

Don't underestimate how much your tyres will move on the wheels when under load.

Although, I would have thought that ET13 would be appropriate for the fronts.

OK Guys, I've read very very carefully what you wrote.

Then I discussed with the technical manager from Compomotive.

He confirmed to me that 7X13 ET24 for front wheels is common for a Caterham.

Then he gave me the exact dimensions from the flat face of the hub to the outsite of the rear wheel (8,5x13 ET24) and those dimensions are exactly what we supposed they would.

Based on that, I confirmed my order for 4 sets of wheels.

I will let you know, especially if I'm wrong.

My friend and I ordered 4 sets of those wheels and we are using the same Mich slicks.

Yep, depending of the car, the wing stays may require to be bent a bit.

He has a R500 Duratec.

He did one track day this week and did not experience any "rub" issue at all *thumbup*

I don't know what "trailing arms" are (I do my best to understand technical words I promise *smile*).

I guess it's either "radius arms" or "watts link arm".

I can find out the clearance for both situation as my Duratec R has the radius arms and the R500 Duratec has the watts link arms.

I need a few days as both cars aren't next to me.

Hi Catastrada

Did you manage to get a shot of the clearance on the trailing/radius arms vs tyres sidewall clearance ?

keen to understand the fitment as another owner asked about 9" rims at the club meet the other night

Dave sorry for this late answer but:

My car (Duratec R) is not ready yet, still a few things to fix before enjoying it

and

My friend's R500 Duratec has problems after problems. (the seq. gearbox has to be sent back to Quaife).

Anyway, after serious tests on the R500 (has watts linkage) we had to reverse the rear arms (rotate it on 180°) and this way they are absolutely fine, no "rubbing".

The front arms were an other story as we saw that on one side only the tyre was slighly touching the arm.

The front of this front arm is like a T (the head of the T is the fixing point).

We cut 5mm to have the arm closer to the chassis and now that's perfect too.
