LesG
I could be interested. What's the difference over a standard pedal? From the picture it appears to have moved the pivot point, and that presumably gives more leverage for less foot pressure? Cheers, Les.
Manxseven
Hi Les, Yes I think that's it. Cheers, Simon ----- Caterham BEC here
ric355
Isn't the point of the high effort pedal opposite to that? The distance from the pivot point to the pedal is shorter on the high effort pedal which means you get less leverage rather than more. It'll mean for the same amount of foot pressure you get less braking force, or to put it another way to get same braking force as before you have to push the pedal harder hence "high effort". The pedal will probably feel harder because for the same amount of pedal travel you'll get more braking force but this level of force will require more effort! 6speedmanual
It would interesting if someone could clear this up. Does the pedal have a higher lever ratio to give the same braking effect with less foot INPUT effort ( and therefore longer pedal travel ) ? Or opposite as ric355 says? What would be the effect of using such a pedal with the big-bore "race" master cylinder? End up back at square one in terms of travel/effort ? LesG
Ric, thanks, I think this'll be opposite to what I want. Simon, on reflection, I'll pass, thanks all the same. Les.
