simonpa
Hi - I'm looking for a 4-2-1 exhaust for my K-series R500. Preferably just the centre CRP section, but would consider a complete system as well. TIA - Simon
Adrian Williams
Are you sure Simon 🤔 R500's have a 4:1 system Adrian
simonpa
They do from CC. However, Powerspeed have done a few and I'm looking for something to give me a bit more mid-range torque.
Mark Durrant
Simon All K series R500's were fitted with a 4-1 system and when I looked at getting a bespoke 4-2-1 section made using the existing R500 primaries I found this was not possible due to the position of the primaries, meaning the correct cylinders could not be linked as they were diagonally opposite each other. CC sell a 4-2-1 from the SLR however the bore is smaller than the R500 system or you can get a bespoke 4-2-1 system made by someone like Powerspeed. simonpa
Ah - thanks Mark - I didn't even think about cylinder matching.. I was just looking to fill the hole in the torque/power between 4.5 & 6.5k. Perhaps I'll just look into possibly fitting the 2180/1444 cams and then getting it remapped.
