Dedion removal

As part of my winter plans I intend to replace my dedion tube with the latest spec one and get my diff overhauled. My question is, I have a single garage about 8ft wide, can I get the tube out while it is on axle stands in the centre of the garage or do I need room to pull it out on one side?

Nose first into garage, leave tail hanging out, remove tube (instructions on my site under prop-change in maintenance section if you need them), trolley-jack the remains back in to garage??? Sounds like a plan to me....

Nick,

Yes, you can remove the tube in a single garage quite easily. it will go in/out at an angle. I can manoeuvre mine using my foot to lift it clear of the chassis whilst feeding it in/out.
