Black windscreen frame

Recommended Posts

I have to order a new windscreen assembly to Caterham because because of a small stone impact and also because its surface is kind of sandblasted. While the frame of my my Seven ( a 40th Anniversary 1.6K) windscreen is in "white" anodised ali, I am wondering whether a black frame would be easier to keep clean ( no more polishing, etc.)

Anyone to share his experience?

It's powder coated rather than anodised. Pretty durable and definitely easier to keep looking good. Mines a little bit bubbly now cos it's been abused (all weather use, especially that endurance event) but stone chips are no problem. A dot of satin black and it looks new again.

Thank you Alex for your input. The fact that it is powder coated rather than anodised must certainly help keeping it looking good.I shall probably go for it if my order to Caterham has not yet been sent out.

I am very impressed by your drawing and am printing it for my record and ...trial to duplicate with my own Seven.
