The Headmaster
Hi everyone. I've been following the championship all year via this forum and the reports that Ray Snotes submits to Low Flying. It looks as if its been a great season to compete in. I would like to come along and support one of my local Welsh Class 1 competitor and cheer him on as he tries to overcome his power disadvantage (so I'm told). I believe Alistair is considered the underdog to win Class 1 as he is in third place, but he has shown comitment and outstanding speed at other "circuits" this year. I think this places an awful lot of pressure on both Andrew and Nick. It really is their championship to throw away now. How does pressure feel at Club level motorsport. Does it affect the favourites? I think as many people as possible should try and come along to cheer all the competitors. Better than a F1 race. How do I get tickets to get into the circuit and what time should I get there? I will post this on Chit Chat also as I want as many as possible to know about this event. Adrian Williams
Just turn up on the day and if you need a ticket to get in you'll be able to buy one on the gate. Practice starts at 9.30 and we're the last class to run, should get on to timerd runs before lunch if last year is anything to go by. 11.00 should mean you wont miss any timed action from Al. Mr Happy
A Welshman winning in Wales? I hear is unusual but not imposible or is that just in class 5? I am sure class 1 will be of great intreast. Al has the capacity to win but only time will tell.
Simon.Rogers1
TM - I know where you live (I think) If we're going to get into a food fight let me sit down and get comfortable first 😬 Dai Fuser - why don't you blat mail me and I can pass on my mobile no. so you can ring and collect tickets from me (FOC) Where are you from anyway? The more Welsh support for Al and Team 7 Tips the better. I know he is praying for rain. 😔

Mark Gibson
I should stress that I am completely neutral in the whole Class 1 battle this weekend( 🙆🏻 on fence 😬) and am really looking forward to it as I missed all the drama in Class 1 at Anglesey last year. However, I did chuckle at the irony when I turned over my Lotus 7 Speed Championsip Calendar at the weekend and not only saw Alistair Gibbins as Mr October but also at Anglesey
The Headmaster
Hi Simon I'm from Pentre-llwyn-lwyd. This really looks like an exciting weekend. Do you guys socialise much or do you turn up on the day and try to win the prize money? I have been a track day enthusiast in Mk 11 Escourts for some time and have used BAT before they are good eh? But I see from the list of members practicing on the Friday that a few of them have stars next to their name. I see one chap called Mark Gibbson has been on 26 track days with BAT alone Now I have been on a few events but that seems quite a few. Does Mark need all that practice or is he some sort of instructor 🤔 Sparks Electricians

The Headmaster
McCalvert - I like your style 😶🌫️ Do you not ever get a bit fed up just like all those F1 drivers who get picked on by the press. That Ray Snotes chap seems to have it in for you. Which reminds me I have not seen a score table this year showing who is winning the Golden Trowel. Are you in contention again this year 😬 Sparks Electricians
Mark Durrant
Dai I'll think you will find the current holder of the Yellow Trowel drives a (pre)historic powered class 3 car 😬 Edited by - Ray Snoates on 5 Oct 2009 21:43:
The Headmaster
Can I get into the padock on the weekend? I'd like to get up close and have a loo underneath your cars to see if there are any interesting additions Sparks Electricians
robmar
Dai - you need to look under the bonnets of the class 3 R300's, I mean Superlights for the interesting bits
Mark Durrant
Dai A few competitors will no doubt have some grass on the underside of their cars come the end of the weekend 😳
Mark Gibson
Hi Dai Yes, 26 Track Days with BaT and they are the only company I have ever used for track days. I am certainly not good enough to be an instructor ☹️ If you look closely you will see that most of my track days were in 2004 because I won a years free track days with them and that is why I bought my first caterham. I can't remember how many I did in 2004 but I had to take a lot of time off work We are a really friendly bunch so please do come and say hello. Me and t'wife are in car number 155/755 IIRC. See you there. Mark
The Headmaster
You bring your wife to the events Mark? I hope she is the Pit Babe type with umbrella holding skills and lycra ...... 🥰 Sparks Electricians
Mark Gibson
Wife is currently 2nd in Ladies Championship (she will be car number 755). As I have nothing to fight for this weekend, I am very much her pit crew and will probably be the one holding the brolly for her although not sure yet what outfit I will wear 😳
Englishmaninwales
I didn't think caterhams could run with a diffuser in class 1?
