Cheeseboard
For Sale Brian James Minnow Max Trailer - with rare folding tow pole. Bought used this year's Caterham Academy, the trailer is appoximately 2-3 years old and has the following equipment. High Grip integral ramps Wheel chocks (pair) Centre decking and storage Heavy duty jockey wheel Single gear winch Folding tow pole High level tyre rack Cost new would be £2875 + VAT Full details here. Perfect for track days and racing (transport to and from, I don't race the trailer!), with the added bonus of still being able to fit a workbench in your garage due to the space saved by the folding tow pole. I store the car on the trailer in the garage and use the car reguarly. Good condition, dry stored and used reguarly this year - a great practical trailer. I'm happy to deliver if the buyer is a sensible distance from St Albans, otherwise it will need to be picked up. £1500 - using the well established "dibs" process. Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 29, 2009 Support Team Share Posted September 29, 2009 Do you have a picture of it in your garage? I need an idea of whether this would realistically fit in my garage (which doubles as a utility room, bike storage, etc.). Do you know how long it is with the tow pole folded? Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 29, 2009 Support Team Share Posted September 29, 2009 OK I've discussed with the other half and would like to place 1st dibs on this. I will measure the garage as soon as I get home this evening and post a yes or no immediately. If you blatmail me your contact details I'll call/email as you prefer. This is the perfect spec for me. Cheeseboard
Hi Shaun, Just popped out and measured. Max width - 203cm (This is taken from the outter edge of the mudguards, there are also two side lights on the end of rubber outriggers but these are floppy and designed to fold in) Max length - 400cm (This is taken with the tow pole upright and saves approx 62cm over a standard trailer) I have a short garage, hence why I needed the trailer type in the first place - I still have a workbench at the end and a bike. Cheeseboard
He had that conversation in the time it took me to go out and measure it! Shaun, you have mail in about 2 minutes. David
Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 29, 2009 Support Team Share Posted September 29, 2009 Thanks David. I'll be home about 5:30 so will let you know if it will fit shortly after that. Looks like I might be moving the freezer into the back garden 😬 Chris - Gill can see the advantages of arriving at events warm and dry 😶🌫️ Now I just need to sort out a towcar! Z3MCJez
David, Does this mean you're done then with Caterham racing? Jez Build Photos
Cheeseboard
Still considering, but need the space in the meantime. Well done on winning your race, I watched your video earlier - thought you'd blown it after going on the grass after Gerrards but you did well to get back on their tails. I came 14th, and was pleased my car was in one piece after seeing some of the others!
Z3MCJez
Yes - your race was certainly a war of attrition. For a non-contact sport Caterham racing is not really - well, certainly not at Academy level. Jez Build Photos

Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 29, 2009 Support Team Share Posted September 29, 2009 I have measured the garage and it doesn't fit ☹️ so it's still up for grabs. David - thank you for your patience - YHM Richard - looks like we'll be remaining Drowned RR for the foreseable. RoyH
David, Measured garage. There's a large chest freezer at the end of it. The trailer will just fit, but my wife has various things also stored in the garage which would need to be moved to the shed at the bottom of the garden. For some obscure reason she isnt keen on agreeing to this!! Looks like I will have to pass. I'd be surprised if this is still available by then end of the day. Cheeseboard
Now provisionally sold to L7 FST. RoyH holds 2nd dibs (sounds like he's convinced his wife that access to a freezer is over rated) Cheers, David
