FlymoFraser
Just wanted to say a huge thanks for Aintree yesterday. LMC organised a cracking day, despite the best efforts of the weather and a single seater that decided it should be called Red Rum to get in 2 practice and 5 timed runs. Spoke to a few first timers yesterday who said they were surprised at the complexity , given that it's just three bends and they found it more enjoyable than they had expected. Thanks also to those L7C members who marshalled, Al and Trish and any others, also, thaks Trish for the advice on the cornering lines and finallly thanks to all the other competitors who filled in the short gaps between runs with chat, banter, p@ss taking, wind ups and a few pearls of wisdom. The Laddie
First, I too would like to add my thanks and say I had a good day Second, I would like to apologise to all those (Nearly everybody) that I didn't say "cheerio" to as I was on a rush to get home...(Did well except M25 was closed ....again) Steve, hope it was fixed before you got there Third, talking with a specialist and I'd like to make a suggestion in time for Wiscombe a) The older you get, your percentage score is increased b) The heavier you are, your percentage score is increased Any takers 😬 🤔 Enjoy, Mike (aka VII SVN)
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted September 6, 2009 Area Representative Share Posted September 6, 2009 First time at Aintree for me and thoroughly enjoyed the event. Just three Bends! Apparently Trish told me that I must have introduced a 4th on my exit to Country as I took a line to set me up for Village... 😬 Mike - I like your thinking esp. if we apply it retrospectively to Aintree too. I think I might just have beaten Neil! 😬

Charlies Angel
Mike, you may have noticed that we have already introduced the rules you suggest in Class 4 and have been testing them for the rest of the paddock. Personnaly I am not finding them advantageous!
The Laddie
Lynn, You are the figure of perfection and youthfulness that the handicap would be measured against, so this can only help you surely...... Enjoy, Mike (aka VII SVN)

Mark Durrant
Another great days motorsport with maidens wins for Neil 'Flymo' Fraser in class 1 and Rob Spencer in class 2. There was also a return to form in class 3 with Michael Calvert pulling off a double in his historic powered 7 of a class win *thumbup*and the yellow trowel
The Laddie
Chris, As a man of distinction and perception how can you have the temerity to question perfection? Enjoy, Mike (aka VII SVN)
Tam
Worringly, the trowel was displayed on H5 URF before the class win trophy had made it out of the boot 😬 Clearly I was the bad omen and am at risk of being banished for the rest of the season 😳 Tam Drowned Rat Racing
Support Team rob spencer Posted September 7, 2009 Support Team Share Posted September 7, 2009 A thoroughly enjoyable day's motorsport with so many runs (there were eight *eek*available , including practice, to those that wanted them) that most of us declined the last one. My first class win was particularly enjoyable as it was the culmination of a very close duel with Paul Collins throughout the day. I'm sure he'll be after revenge at Anglesey. Big thanks *thumbup* to LMC and Mark for organising the event for us, and particularly to those who volunteered to marshall to enable the rest of us to enjoy ourselves. *biggrin* See you all at Anglesey
mikes
Congratulations to Neil and Rob in particular for their first wins - it is a pretty special moment isn't it 😬 Glad to see that Michael had regained the trowel - as well as scoring a first - of course if an R300 had been there..........
