Gearbox Update

Well after managing to survive Curborough with a dodgy gearbox the car is back together and ready for Aintree. Thanks go to Mike Sankey who not only helped with stripping the car down on Monday but also called round after work today to help me finish the instal *thumbup*.

I must also thank Phil Stewart at Road & Race Transmissions who juggled his workload to turn around the gearbox that required a significant number of parts in a day *thumbup*. It would appear a needle bearing failed on the 1-2 hub causing significant damage to the main shaft, bearings, 1-2 hub, synchro's, collets etc but hey that's motor sport *cry*

Anyway, I shall be camping at Aintree unlike the wimps of DRR fame who will be found in the local Premier Inn *nono*

See you at the weekend
