Where can I get Armorfend?

You can get it from armourfend direct ,sorry I dont have the number, but it has been on a recent thread. Or, you can now by it from Caterham direct. The rear wing kit is £110.00 fitted and the rear wings, edge of bonnet and sills are £170 fitted. I hear it is very difficult to fit properly yourself, but I,m sure one of the experts who have done it will disagree. If you can I,m sure you can save a bucket load of cash. Look in search under armourfend and there are loads of threads on the subject. Hope this helps.

That's a bit pricey isn't it - what is it then, a mat or a coating? I've heard of people painting Carplan Rubbercoat under the wings and this is supposed to be £10 a tin (but I can't find any of that in the shops either?)

What about the skateboard grip stuff?

Is that too heavy though? If not that would stick on underneath the wings well...

There's a great skateboard shop in Woking. Ron Dennis goes there for the anti slip stuff on Kimi's pedals... 😬

... and I also got to heft a Prost (maytheyrestinliquidation) front upright, fully assembled with brake ducting and axle... (heft isn't exactly the right word)

A Prost nosecone and front wing assembly

Various titanium and carbon pushrods and suspension bits. An experimental Ferrari gearbox adaptor plate in carbon, a Prost steering rack...

The list goes on.

Steve,

It wasn't fixed, but was replaced with a low mileage secondhand one of undisclosed origin. It has a very good shift action which I am happy to attribute to the "real" carbon fibre gearknob I got from Halfords on Tuesday night.

I have my reasons for this particular upgrade, but I had the good grace to feel slightly ashamed turning up at a Formula One carbon specialists with a max power special CF gear knob. The orginal reason for mentioning the F1 bits was because earlier in the thread you mentioned skate tape and the CF brake pedal had this stuff on it, as you described - funny that I had been looking at exactly the item just a few hours before you posted mentioning it...
