jingars
Does anyone know if these would be a straight swap for my pre-S type seats in a 1995 chassis Roadsport?
Willie.
Jingars, Yes...ish. Your Pre-Stypes will mount onto the chassis rails to the front and back of the seats, whereas S-Types (Stupidly, in my opinion) bolt directly to the floor (Which ends up pulling the floor off). To fit S-Types to your car, you would just need to drill the holes in the floor and buy/fit the reinforcing aluminium channels from Caterham, which go underneath the car. Personally, when I fitted my Tillets (Same runners as S-Type), I made a bracket to pick up the Pre-Stype seat mounts on the chassis, lie flush to the floor and bolted my seats through it and the floor. The floor does add strength to it, but if the floor wasn't there, I wouldn't fall through it. Willie
